Collected items to be given to Beacon On The Hill in West Haven
WEST HAVEN, CT (11-22-11)—From November 28 through December 15, Stone Academy is inviting faculty, students and the general public to participate in a Christmas season clothing and diaper drive. Donated items, which include second-hand childrens and adult clothing in good, clean condition and new containers of disposable diapers, may be dropped off at Stone Academy’s new West Haven campus located at 560 Saw Mill Road during normal school hours.
In mid-December, Stone Academy will transport the donated clothing to the Beacon On The Hill Clothes Closet on Jones Hill Road in West Haven, where clothes are provided in a store-like environment where people in need can shop free of charge. Donated diapers will be given to Beacon On The Hill’s Diaper Bank, which provides diapers for Birthright, the Teen Parenting Program at West Haven Community House, Family Resource Center, West Haven agencies and individuals.
“At Stone Academy, we are big believers in giving back to the community,” says Joseph Bierbaum, Corporate Admissions and Marketing Director. “We deliberately create a campus culture of volunteerism and giving. Throughout the holidays and year-round, our staff and students regularly volunteer their time, expertise and belongings to help others.” For details, please call toll-free 1-800-585-1315 or visit www.StoneAcademy.com
